Oracle FS1-2 flash storage uptime 6 years planning to update from 6.2.17.565.2 To 6.2.9

Hello everyone,

We’re planning to upgrade our Oracle FS1-2 Flash Storage System from version 6.2.17.565.2 to 6.2.9, and I’d really appreciate any advice or insights from the community.

The system has been running continuously for about 6 years without interruption, and we’re now assessing whether this upgrade will require a disruptive or non-disruptive procedure, especially given the long uptime and version difference.

For context, the last time we attempted a patch (about six years ago), things didn’t go smoothly. About two minutes after starting the upgrade, all FS1-2 LEDs turned red, and we ended up needing remote assistance from Oracle engineers in India. It took around
