Is it possible to update column set heading and periods each month automatically

we have several FSG reports defined where the column is setup as period of interest (P0I) in twelve columns that includes PTD, QTD and budgets. We have 12 periods and 1 adjustment period. So if a report is ran for QTD for the prior quarters, depending when was it ran, it pick up adjustment period column data.

Our business users manually update the FSG column set each month to update column headings. It is possible that columns are updated automatically?
