How to manage upgrade from 8.1.1.10 to 25.4 and move to containerized Siebel servers?

We are currently planning an upgrade of our Siebel CRM environment from version 8.1.1.10 to 25.4. Based on our internal discussions and client , we understand that a direct upgrade to a containerized infrastructure (e.g., OpenStack, OpenShift, or Oracle Kubernetes) is not supported from version 8.1.1.10.

As a workaround, we are considering the following phased approach:

  1. Upgrade Siebel CRM 8.1.1.10 to 25.4 on a VM-based infrastructure.
  2. Post-upgrade, migrate the VM-based Siebel 25.4 environment to a containerized platform such as OpenShift or Oracle Kubernetes.

We would like to request official confirmation and guidance on the following points:

  • Is the above upgrade path (VM → 25.4 → containerized) officially supported by Oracle?
