P6 is super slow in import and loading

My p6 has slowed down significantly. Especially when I am importing, opening a project or just refreshing (F5). It just takes so long to do anything and it is critically affecting my work. Can anyone please guide why it is like that?
I am working on the same size of schedule since a while so there is no increase of number of activities or anything. It works relatively faster for my colleagues than me but I have not changed any settings. No idea where to start from?
