REFER-initiated Call Transfer

in Acme Packet (MOSC) 10 commentsAnswered ✓

Hello,

I’m trying to understand the possibilities of a REFER-initiated call transfer.
SBC release = 9.3.0

Assumption 1:
Setting refer-call-transfer = disabled in the ingress realm of the initial INVITE means → always proxy a REFER to the peer UA.
Setting refer-call-transfer = enabled in the ingress realm of the initial INVITE means → always terminate the REFER and generate a new INVITE.
Is this correct?

Assumption 2:
→ If refer-call-transfer is set to either enabled or disabled in the ingress realm of the initial INVITE, then the refer-call-transfer or dyn-refer-term settings in the Session Agent or Realm that receives the REFER do not matter.
→ Only if refer-call-transfer = dynamic
