OE_HOLDS_HOOK - Message

We are on R12.2.14 and are using the hook "OE_HOLDS_HOOK" to apply hold on order lines based on certain conditions. The hook works. However there is a message that is also displayed after the hold is applied. We want to suppress this message from appearing or change it. But unfortunately the hook is not displaying or has anything in it to override it. Please advise how to we suppress/hide or override it.
