Time Zone patching of a standby database

I have a data guard environment with Oracle Enterprise databases 19R27 running on REL7

The databases, the principal and the standby, are running of different servers.

I need to upgrade the TimeZone in this data guard environment. I have updated the TimeZone in a single database without any issues using DBMS_DST_scriptsV1.9 but I wonder how this process goes with a standby database.

Do I upgrade the principal and let the logs will do the trick on the standby? Or do I have to manually apply the changes to the standby db?

Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Claudia
