How to reduce over completion transaction quantity in Discrete Job

Hello Team,

Job 5906004 had two portions of material on different lines when material was over-completed from one line to complete the mill.  a quantity of 480 was left open in queue which changed the grand total of the material open in the job. the main issue is that not the open quantity of this high dollar item is showing in the system for planning which interferes with them releasing material. if we were to scrap the quantity it would cause backlash with finance. I could complete the quantity and miscellaneous adjust it out but that would likely cause another issue besides
