Tools for enabling TLS/SSL in on premise Essbase

I am trying to plan the way forward for enabling TLS communications in EPM and Essbase. The system has been running without encryption internally. The documentation references the following tools for configuring TLS/SSL in Essbase. I am looking for more information about each tool and the configuration changes that they make. I can read the python script and see the changes it is making. ssl_config.sh is a wrapper script for essbaseconfig.jar/sslConfigHelper but I can't find any documentation that describes what they do.
