JDE E1 - Line level hold after shipment confirmation

How can I apply a line-level hold after shipment confirmation?
Our BOL document is generated immediately after shipment confirmation, but I need to apply the line-level hold before R47032 runs.

The reason is that I don’t want the ASN report (R47032) to pick up those orders until the truck actually arrives at the warehouse, while still having all the paperwork ready in advance.

Is there a way to automatically apply a hold to all lines after shipment confirmation?
Also, what is considered best practice for releasing the hold?
