Users are in the process of upgrading from 11i to R12.2.12
User have 17+ years of historic data and need to bring them into SLA. User plan to use SLA hotpatch approach to bring this data. Since it is a hotpatch, their DBA team asked below questions. Can someone please clarify on below points?

What happens if you kill the patch while it is running?
How often does it commit and can this be configured?
Does it continue from where it left off?
Does it take just as long to rerun, if it was half way through and you restart it, or is it significantly faster after a partial run?
