Can /u01/app/odaorahome size be increased while it is online?

I found an article in Oracle Support for increasing space for /u01/app/odaorabase0 (Doc ID 2953441.1). Can this same technique be used to expand /u01/app/odaorahome and can it be safely done while it is online? I ran out of space on our dbhome storage (100% used) after updating to ODA 19.27 from ODA 19.26. I regained a lot of space by deleting the previous homes, but I'm concerned that I will not have enough space for future patching on our dbhome storage.
