how to reinitialization standby database

I have a standby database 11.2.0.4.0 on aix but it has not been synchronized for a long time over year and I can't apply archive logs. I think that I need to do reinitialization. Just to mention that I have zdlra and ASM. What would the reinitialization procedure look like?
