Does the Vertex software recalculate the Tax based Override address /State entered in JDE

We have entered an order and overriden the ship to (to different state, Zipcode and Address). Need to know if the tax rate will be calculated based on the ship to or the new overriden address details. we are using vertex for Tax calculation
