Non stock line ( N) creates the IB entry in cardex

We noticed that a non-stock line creates an entry in Cardex with an IB document. Although the Inventory Interface is set to 'N' for the line type, the entry still appears in Cardex. Is this expected behaviour, or could it be due to recent enhancements? will it have any impact on inventory integrity side?
