Unable to Connect UAT Capture to Microsoft Exchange Email (OAuth – MFA Issue)

Problem Description:

We are unable to configure the UAT APWF email account in Capture. While verifying the email account, the following error appears:

“Connection Error – Unable to connect to the specified Email Account” (screenshot attached).

Details:

  • Environment: UAT
  • Application: Oracle Capture (APWF)
  • Email Protocol: Microsoft Exchange Web Services (OAuth)
  • Email ID: uatsuppliersetup@cimcapps .com
  • Error occurs during verification of email account configuration.
  • Microsoft Authenticator MFA is enabled for this account. MFA challenge is failing, causing the connection issue.

Impact:

  • UAT Capture is unable to connect to APWF email boxes.
  • Mail processing is blocked in UAT.

Troubleshooting Done:

  • Verified OAuth Client ID, Secret, and Scope.
