Errors in transactions pertaining to Fixed assets

There existed some assets in our system which were capitalized by mistake and accordingly the depreciation was also charged on them wrongly. In order to remove them we retired the assets & unposted the journals that included the depreciation amounts of those assets. This has resulted in the depreciation being completely removed & we are not able to account for the assets that are correct.
