Duplicating prior work experience rows for rehires

We transfer applicants' work experience from Candidate Gateway over to HR side (Prior Work Experience page) when we hire an applicant. We have it turned on for Rehires as well. The problem we are facing is when someone is rehired, their work experience is coming over to the Prior Work Experience page but it is adding on top of already existing rows. That creates the duplicate rows of same work experience they had. Any solutions to prevent this issue?
