Activity Sheet - Custom view set as default not reflected in projects

We have configured a Activity sheet custom view in our templates and set it as the default in the template. Our projects are linked to the template which enables our projects to inherit the custom view from the template.

We love this new functionality as it also applies to the cost sheet views. We can define one custom view in the template and linked project will automatically inherit it. Sweet!

Issue: When new projects are created from the template the custom view set as default in the template is not being reflect in the project created by that template.

Ask: We also would want the projects inheriting the custom views to inherit whatever custom view is set to default from the template. Is this possible?
