Regional info not opening in item master row exist ?

When we try to open the Regional Info from the Item Master, the tab does not open and displays an error. However, when we open the Regional Info from the Item Branch, it works correctly. Could you please confirm if there is a solution to resolve this issue or if it is designed to function this way?
