Payroll "Stop Deduction at Termination" feature
Our institution is testing the "stop deduction at termination" feature: Set Up CM> Product Related> Payroll for NA> Deduction Table,
Process tab (table: DEDUCTION_CLASS, field: STOP_DED_TERM).
In testing, we checked this flag for a general deduction. While the feature works as expected in stopping the deduction when the employee terminates, we are facing an issue when the employee is rehired. The deduction itself in the GENL_DEDUCTION table does not add a deduction end date (DEDUCTION_END_DT). Then, when the employee is rehired, the deduction resumes right the away. We are trying to avoid the deduction from resuming since it had already stopped when the employee terminated.
