Payroll for NA SQR DDP003 Analysis required

We have an issue regarding the Regular earnings not displayed if there is a change in pay rate in the middle of pay period.

Is there a way to analyse DDP003 Arrays in a fast manner.

Do you agree that the delivered SQRs like DDP003 and PAY003 are too old style and need to be recreated using a more user friendly technology that is easy to debug.

Perhaps an application engine with each section representing a section of the payroll data and then passing this data to a BI Publisher (similar to current process) would be very helpful for users to debug or analyze during Tax Updates, PUM upgrades etc.
