jarsigner -verify -verbose -certs <jarfile> showing OLD expiration Date after signing with NEW cert.

EBS 12.2.11

Using a Commercial CA code signing certificate with private key on an usb stick.

We have re-newed the Codesigning certificate and signed all jarfiles successfulyy with message:

jar signed.

The signer certificate will expire on 2028-09-10.
The timestamp will expire on 2034-12-10.

Still the verify of most jarfiles show Date from old certificate.

jarsigner -verify -verbose -certs <jarfile>

The signer certificate will expire on 2025-10-03.

Login to EBS forms shows new Certificate Date.

Is this a BUG in jarsigner -verify?
