OpenSSL 3.2.4 availability

edited Oct 3, 2025 5:14PM in Linux Operating System (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered

My organization has flagged 3 of my servers (all runninng Oracle Linux 9.6 with no support contract) for vulnerabilities described in and want me to update to OpenSSL 3.2.4, which is not found in the Oracle Linux 9 YUM repositories. They have pointed me to , which addresses CVE 2024-5535, but doesn't mention Oracle Linux 9 in the list of products addressed. My question is, is there any officially supported way to install OpenSSL 3.2.4 on Oracle Linux 9? Would purchasing a support contract help me with this issue? Or is the only option to install from source, with all the headaches that go along with that?

Howdy, Stranger!
