SBC sends BYE after MS Teams "Ring back if there's no answer"

in Acme Packet (MOSC) 4 commentsAnswered

Hello,

In MS Teams, there is an option a user can activate when transfering a call: "Ring back if there's no answer".
When this is activated, the call goes back to the transferrer. This is done in Teams, SBC has nothing to do with this.

For the SBC, this is what happens:

Ext-caller calls Teams-user-A, call is routed to Teams by SBC —> ext-caller talks to Teams-user-A (media flows in both directions).
Teams-user-A initiates a transfer to Teams-user-b —> Teams sends a REFER to SBC —> SBC sends an INVITE to Teams for Teams-user-b.
Teams-user-b doesn't answer the call —> Teams sends a 480 Temporarily Unavailbale to SBC for INVITE to Teams-user-b.

Howdy, Stranger!
