Issue with In-Place Upgrade of VM to Oracle Linux 8

in Linux Operating System (MOSC) 5 commentsAnswered

Hi all,

We are working on an in-place OS upgrade of a virtual machine.

We started with the VM on Oracle Linux 6.10 and successfully performed an in-place upgrade to 7.9.

Now, we are using the "Leapp" tool to perform an in-place upgrade to Oracle Linux 8.

When we try to upgrade to Oracle Linux 8 using "Leapp," no errors occur during the process, but after running the command leapp upgrade --oraclelinux and rebooting the VM, it boots back into Oracle Linux 7.9 and does not start with the Oracle Linux 8 image.

We need your assistance to identify the issue and understand how we can successfully complete the in-place upgrade to Oracle Linux 8.

Howdy, Stranger!
