Does 3rd party resume parsing integration require Candidate Gateway setup?

in Human Resources and ELM - PSFT (MOSC) Question

We are looking in to using a 3rd party for resume parsing and am wondering if we need to be using Candidate Gateway in order for the integration to work?

If anyone is currently using a 3rd party for resume parsing, do you mind giving me some insight in to how the integration works?
