During Shipment Confirmation We changed the Order Quantity but system does not send any alert ?

During Shipment Confirmation We changed the Order Quantity but system does not send any alert saying that Quantity is changed Is it a standard JDE process or System should show error when we update the quantity during shipment confirmation.
