Has anyone set up notification composer for Time Approval to work with Team Time Direct Reports?

We are trying to implement Team Time Direct Reports. Currently we use Notification Composer to notify supervisors that an employee has submitted time and it is ready for approval. However, the link does not work any longer and supervisors will get the error "You are not allowed to access this data.".

I did a trace and it looks like when clicking the link from the email notification, it is looking for TL Group security which we do not need with Team Time Direct Reports. Has anyone able to use the notification composer with URL link to the timesheet for supervisors with no TL group when using Team Time Direct Reports?
