Payment Overall Priority Equal Percentages:

Hello dear community,

We are using Third Party Contracts with the allocation method set to Equal/Proportional. However, the system is still applying payments using the Oldest First method instead of distributing them equally.

Example

• Student has 3 tuition installments:
  • Installment 1 = $1,000
  • Installment 2 = $1,000
  • Installment 3 = $1,000
• Scholarship = 80% coverage ($2,400 total).

Expected result: Each installment should receive 80% coverage → $800 applied to each, leaving $200 balance per installment.

Observed result: The scholarship is applied to the first installment only until exhausted, and later installments do not receive the proportional share.

Why does the system ignore the Equal/Proportional allocation method and continue to apply payments by oldest first? How can we configure Third Party Contracts so that scholarships or payments are distributed
