Will batch_control set will be refreshed by upgrade?

Hi Team,

Here is our system version:
RPASCE Server 25.2.401.0.15.3729
Application Config (ipocs) 25.2.401.0.15.3300

We are going to use the template version and keep the Template status as "Activated". But still we would like to populate some data automatically which is not supported in template version.

So if we put some customized expression calculation in batch_calc_list.txt and patch the ipocs, will the expression be kept after like quarterly upgrade or any kind of release, or the whole batch control set will be refreshed from template version as well (as a result, the customized part will be cleaned up)?
