Forms FSAL and FSALS Windows registry entries are identical - what's the diff?

The Windows registry entries in Oracle documentation for fsal:// and fsals:// are identical. When one of those protocol handlers are used as the URL, what tells fsal to attempt an SSL connection using the local java truststore? The server port you're trying to connect to? We're getting browser insecure connection (blocked) messages when attempting fsals and trying to track down what might be causing the problem.
