Announcing Oracle Solaris 11.4 SRU87

in Oracle Solaris Installation, Booting and Patching (MOSC)

Last week, we released the Oracle Solaris 11.4 SRU87.

It is available via ‘pkg update’ from the support repository or by downloading the SRU from My Oracle Support Doc ID 2433412.1.

This SRU adds the following new features or modified interfaces:

  • BIND configuration and compatibility check service
  • Firefox and Thunderbird updated from ESR 128 to ESR 140
  • GCC 15 added
  • Improved devalias management for LDoms Guest Domains within ldmd
  • No longer used ‘sys‘ memory blocks now returned to free memory pool by ldmd
  • MDB API added to get annotations by type
  • MDB API added to set array lengths
  • New cableinfo(8) peer command to croinfo(8)
  • Oracle Cloud Agent package added
