Oracle Database 19c noob patching question

Hi I am patching a production 19c Oracle DB in about an hour and there is a chance that I'm wasting time with our current process. I'm installing the Oct 2025 patches, but I need to rollback a conflicting OJVM patch first. The process I used in Dev yesterday was to rollback -id 37847857, then run datapatch for 3 DBs, then apply the new patch (38111211), then run datapatch again for 3 DBs. Is this necessary, or can I just run datapatch once after rolling back and applying a new patch? The readme isn't clear (at least to me who hasn't done this many times)
