Event Framework Usage?

in PeopleTools and Lifecycle Management - PSFT (MOSC) Question

I've used PeopleSoft Event Mapping, and also the Notification (Alert) Framework, but not the Event framework referenced here (PeopleSoft Events and Notifications Framework Overview). Has anyone use this? It looks like it wires together actions in a component to follow-on actions via Integration broker asynchronously.
