Change of UOM for existing resource of a particular item

Hello,

I am currently working in the Oracle Enterprise Asset Management (eAM) module in R12 and mistakenly entered the incorrect Unit of Measure (UOM) while creating a new resource. The UOM field is now grayed out and disabled for updates. Could you please advise on the standard procedure for correcting this?

This is related to functional aspects.
