defaults.xml getting re-created?

Hi Community Members,

We have recently configured some file system monitoring (with a 3rd party) to track changes to a few "key" configuration files. We just received an alert that defaults.xml had been re-created (operation = create new file). However, when I check it from the OS I do not see that it had been changed/modified. I do see that it shows a being accessed though (a few months back).
