Where do I find the auto generated elements for forecasting details?

When forecasting an absence event, the forecasting details show that the absence accumulator paid =0 and unpaid = 1 . but it should be paid.
The absence entitlement resets to 5 on Jan 1st but I suspect, that perhaps the reset/re-initialization is not happening before the forecasting. In fact I'm cetain of this because the forecast works fine for Jan 16th after the first absence calc is run.

I have reviewed the following config screens but cannot for the life of me figure out what field/toggle I'm overlooking (I feel like the day count has something to do with the issue but I can't figure out how to fix that):
