Can column character count be configured in Spreadsheet Journal worksheet (JRNL1_WS.xlsm)?

We are on PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 Image 54, PeopleTools 8.61. We just started using the worksheet JRNL1_WS.xlsm recently.

When attempting to generate a file in worksheet JRNL1_WS.xlsm, our users are encountering the error message below if a journal line description column character count exceeds 30 characters. Is it possible to increase the character count allowance for a specific field on the worksheet so that they can successfully generate a file? The behavior in the old spreadsheet journal worksheet allowed the a journal file to be created, but would cutoff the excess characters without an error message.
