Can I delete line items in a terminated record?

I read many comments about not being able to edit a terminated record but have to ask again because of the urgency.

A user inadvertently added the entire contents of the Document Manager into a transmittal. Many of these documents are confidential and should not be seen by the contractors. Is there a way to delete the line items from a BP that has been terminated? The record is still visible to all users.
