Information related to recent Microsoft Direct Routing Changes with SBC - Dec 2025 onwards

(1) Question: In early Dec 2025, Microsoft released a notice about changes in Direct Routing that require changes in SBC, are Oracle SBC affected by this? Refer link:

Answer: The certificate changes will not affect the Oracle SBC TLS setup, and the certificates can be accepted even without this. There is no check in the SBC for EKU.

(2) Question: What about the updated list of CAs and common name change? Refer link: Program Requirements - Microsoft Trusted Root Program | Microsoft Learn

Answer: CN change on the client certificates that Microsoft presents has no impact on the Oracle SBC.

(3) Question: Will there be any impact on mTLS in Oracle SBC?
