19.9 to 19.29 upgrade path

19.9 so DPR is not an option.

19.9 DB on Primary side. Stack and DB home.
19.9 DB on standby Side running out of 19.29 home and 19.29 ODA stack. We werre forceds to upgrade ahead of plan due to disk expansion issues.

I tried to register a. 19.9 home - but wont let me. I guess I could do it manually. But oracle Supports Mixed binary for standby first as an example.

So easiest way to get the current primary upgraded to 19.29 stack with minimal downtime ??

1) Switchover to 19.9DB on 19.29 HOME on 19.29 Standby unit as primary.
2) Reimage Standby (old primary)
3) Clone DB to 19.9 on 19.29 home standby.
