Experiences with batch scheduling tools (ActiveBatch?)

Looking for feedback on batch scheduling tools for use with PeopleSoft environments. We already have an enterprise scheduling tool in use for both production and non-production environments. However, we are considering other options especially if there is a potential alternative with minimal complexity (and cost) that would allow us quicker turnaround times for running batch streams in non-prod environments.

One potential option is ActiveBatch but did some initial research and didn't see many references or success stories.
