Why is DOCO a required field for R47131, EDI 860?

Customers are not going to provide the JDE DOCO when they send an 860.

My recollection from the last time I configured the 860 was that AN8 and VR01 were sufficient. Did something change with the requirements?

DOCO is listed among the minimum required fields in KB624596, page 3.
