Display Name/Preferred Name

PeopleSoft HCM Image 49 introduced features for Preferred Name configuration and Display Name functionality

We configured to show Preferred First Name for Display Name. Name was updated via ESS. The change for an employee shows on Org Chart. However, display name does not show on other pages (like Job Data Search results) or for that matter, any other page where name is shown.

We also ran Refresh Personal Data process - This does not update Display Name to show Preferred First Name.

Is there another process that needs to run to update display name across the HCM system? Please advise.

UPDATE - When we updated preferred first name via Workforce Administration —> Update Personal Details, updated display name shows on Job Data and other relevant pages. It is strange that Name Type - PRF - Preferred, which when updated via ESS, does not update PS_NAMES.DISPLAY_NAME.
