Has anyone implemented PDF Pay Checks with printing directly to a printer?

It seems the only delivered method for PDF Pay Checks, it to generate them to the Report Repository and then print from there. Is this correct?

Has anyone implemented PDF Pay Checks, but done the coding, and formatting, to print directly to a printer?

I have the code to print instead of publishing. But I am having trouble adjusting the format for MICR and statements to print correctly.

Thanks for any help, tips, and tricks! We are using the legacy SQR print method with the Troy printing solution.
