Upgrading to COBOL 9 & PeopleSoft Tools 8.62 - Licensing question

Hi everyone,

We're in the process of upgrading our PeopleSoft Tools to 8.62, which includes moving from COBOL 6 to COBOL 9. I've noticed some recent changes with Micro Focus being acquired by Rocket Software, and it seems like there might be updates to the licensing model post-upgrade.

I'd like to hear from other PeopleSoft admins if you've encountered similar things and help validate my understanding.

Here’s the background:

  • I received the latest xml license keys (via email) from our license representative, tied to our CSI.
  • Our Linux admin installed the compiler and runtime XML licenses on two separate RHEL 9 Linux 64-bit servers: one for the compiler and one for runtime.
