Re-invite with G711a

Have an issue at the moment when calling out to one vendor the call starts good with G711a. during the SIP 183 they are using G711a which we are happy with, as soon as the greeting is completed they switch to G729 and it is the only codec they present to us. Is there a way for us to force a reply saying we want G711a.

Curiously if we use another telco via the same SBC then the call stays as G711a for the duration.
