Setting Up Command Centers on Responsibilities

As we look to implement more command centers, is there any guidance on whether it is allowed to add command centers to seeded menus? We know you should never customize seeded objects. At the same time, we have a custom responsibility that points to a seeded menu for receivables. we would hate to create a custom menu only for us to add a Command Center
