can we use oedacli to create E-business database 19c conatiner DB

in Exadata General (MOSC) Question

Hi All,

We are planning to migrate an Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 database from Solaris to Exadata X9M-2 Elastic Rack (HC 18TB) using a full Export/Import method.

As per Oracle documentation (MOS Doc ID 2552181.1 – Interoperability Notes: EBS 12.2 with Oracle Database 19c), the target database creation requires:

  • Creating the target Oracle 19c ORACLE_HOME
  • Setting environment variables (ORACLE_BASE, ORACLE_HOME, PATH, LD_LIBRARY_PATH, PERL5LIB) as per the note
  • Ensuring ORACLE_SID is set to the CDB SID
  • Following the documented steps for database creation

However, the Exadata team has recommended creating the ORACLE_HOME and the Container Database (CDB) using
